LKF asks basketball fans to share their old videos / News

The Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) is asking all basketball fans to share any basketball videos they have. On the occasion of the one-century anniversary of Lithuanian basketball, LKF aims to collect basketball video files, and most importantly, convert every basketball minute recorded on a video CD or other obsolete media. In digital form.

“We thank Giedris Šliks for the great initiative we have endorsed and supported. I think every basketball fan has an old videotape with recordings of various basketball matches, LKF Secretary General Mindaugas. “Balčiūnas has shown this initiative. – So I would like to invite and urge everyone to hand over these records to Giedri or the Basketball Federation and those records will be digitized.”

Giedrius Šlikas, creator and presenter of the basketball history program “Wikišliks”, noted that the digital formatting of the archive was necessary because the recording on video tapes could be lost over time.

“We will be able to get the tape back with digital material.” All kinds of records, LKL, BBL, NEBL, interesting TV shows. “We are trying to keep everything from falling.”
