The boys’ national football team, which has just completed its qualifying round for the European Championships, will play two friendlies in September. Some of them will be playing at home, some away.
On September 23, the Lithuanians will meet with the participants of the Optibet A League “Kaunas Žalgiris” in Kaunas and then they will fly to Hungary and on September 27 they will meet their compatriots Hungary, theirs in Budapest.
It is interesting that the last national team was coached by former Hungarian footballer Zoltans Gera, who played in the English top league for many years.
After Marius Stankevičius left the post of coach of the Lithuanian boys national team, Fabio Mazzone, a specialist from Italy who worked in Lithuania for a while, will temporarily lead the national team during the camp.
